When Brittany posted that she had three puppies available and two were blue males (our preference) we immediately reached out. Not only did we get a timely response, but we got a breeder that clearly does her due diligence and takes excellent care of her dogs. We had some constraints regarding when we would be able to come to pick up our puppy, but Brittany worked with us. She has been so kind and helpful. When we picked up our little guy, Amos, he was happy and healthy and very well socialized. We absolutely adore Winter is Coming Great Danes. If we didn’t already have one Great Dane, we probably would have needed a warning that Great Dane puppies come with approximately 90% legs, 10% ears, and absolutely no understanding of personal space.
From the very beginning, it was obvious that Carl Leonardo came from a warm, loving family who genuinely adores their dogs and raises their puppies as part of the household. He arrived already knowing that people are for loving, couches are apparently communal property, and there is no such thing as being “too close.”
Carl has brought an enormous amount of love, laughter, personality, and general Great Dane shenanigans into our home. He is sweet, goofy, affectionate, curious, and completely convinced that his ever-growing body still qualifies him as a lap dog.
What means the most to us is knowing that before Carl Leonardo became ours, he was deeply loved by the family at Winter is Coming Great Danes. That kind of beginning matters, and you can see it in his confidence, his affection, and the way he loves being part of a family. We are incredibly grateful to Winter is Coming Great Danes for raising such a wonderful puppy and trusting us with this giant, blue-gray bundle of personality. Five stars. Highly recommend.
